§ 7-12-1. Definitions.

A.

Patient shall mean that person requiring emergency medical service and paramedic ambulance treatment or transportation by the Hoffman Estates Fire Department to St. Alexius Medical Center, Northwest Community Hospital, Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Advocate Sherman Hospital, Presence Saint Joseph Hospital or to any hospital providing extraordinary procedures within a fifty (50) mile radius of the Village of Hoffman Estates. Transportation to hospitals other than those listed must be by private ambulance.

B.

Ambulance Fees shall mean those rates or charges established by the Village of Hoffman Estates for emergency medical service and paramedic ambulance treatment or transportation by the Hoffman Estates Fire Department to St. Alexius Medical Center, Northwest Community Hospital, Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Advocate Sherman Hospital, Presence Saint Joseph Hospital or to any hospital providing extraordinary procedures within a fifty (50) mile radius of the Village of Hoffman Estates.
